Based in our Support Office in Amsterdam, you'll collaborate closely with all (commercial) departments, and you report to our Commercial Director. You spearhead our commercial strategies, make sure corporate partnerships get signed and enhance revenue across our lively Zoku locations in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, and Vienna. You'll be responsible for reaching both the Rooms and M&E budgets together with your team, with the added opportunity to travel to all destinations.


With your hands-on leadership and motivational approach, you'll guide our team to new heights, enhancing their commercial skills along the way. If you're a proactive leader ready to make a significant impact, we want you on our team!


WHAT WILL YOU DO?
No day looks the same as a Director of Sales… but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

Team Captain: Lead and manage our local commercial teams consisting of Sales Managers and Meeting & Events Specialists in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris & Vienna.

Reservations Coach: Guide the Reservations Manager to lead their team effectively, ensuring an optimal balance between revenue generation and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Strategic Visionary: Develop, execute, and oversee the commercial strategy in each city to increase revenue and market share.


Culture Advocate: Foster a vibrant selling culture within the teams and assist them with this.


Revenue Mastermind: Meet revenue targets consistently.


Relationship Guru: Effectively manage relationships with external stakeholders, including partners and clients.

Job requirements

WE LOVE PEOPLE WHO HAVE

  • Strong analytical skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • A proven track record in senior sales roles with end-to-end responsibility.
  • Inspirational leadership qualities with the ability to provide training and guidance on sales strategies to Sales Managers and General Managers.
  • Knowledge of multiple segments (Corporate & Meetings & Events is a plus!).
  • Proficiency in numerical analysis and individual team management.
  • A focus on results and awareness of the latest market trends.
  • A robust existing network to support Zoku's client base expansion.
  • Alignment with the Zoku culture in your actions and decisions, empowering your team(s).
  • Responsibility for personal and team growth, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • The ability to manage global key accounts.


A FEW MUST HAVES

  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in hospitality sales with at least 2 years experience in leading a sales team. 
  • You have a minimum bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or Business, with a similar qualification in the hospitality and/or sales industries.
  • You are based in or around Amsterdam.
  • You’ve got exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills in English, additional languages are always a plus. 
  • You’re an EU citizen or have a valid work visa for The Netherlands.
  • You love to work, as we’ll need you full-time.
