Zoku provides a home for business travelers who want to live in a city for between a few days and a few months. We’re a new type of business hotel offering a relaxed place to live, co-work and socialize – while wiring residents into the local scene. Get ready to dive into the action with our Community & Events Internship, starting in August/September 2024! This isn't your average internship - you'll be the right-hand of our Community Manager. Whether you're busy planning engaging community events, or building bridges among our coworking members, you'll be at the heart of putting Zoku on the map and building valuable connections.

Based in Amsterdam, you’ll be working closely with our operational team, Marketing team, Meeting and Events team and the Kitchen team. You’ll report directly to our Community Manager. Be prepared for an environment where every day brings a new challenge and endless opportunities to connect and create! 

No day looks the same as a Community & Events Intern… but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

Event Extraordinaire: Get ready to put your planning hat on! Teaming up with our Community Manager, you'll be the brains behind our epic event programming. From researching similar events in the city, scouting for decorations and welcoming our attendees; you'll ensure every detail is spot-on for a flawless experience. 

Admin Maestro: Picture yourself as the ultimate juggler, helping the Community Manager with anything related to the administration of events; answering emails, keeping internal documents on point and preparing for upcoming events. 

Community Champion: Ever dreamt of being a connector and driving positive social impact? Well, now's your chance! You'll be the driving force behind our beloved community rituals bringing people together like Community Dinner and Fika. 

Connection Connoisseur: With your charm and wit, you'll be the life of the party! Engaging with our guests, answering their burning questions, and showing our guests around – you'll be the face of our unique hospitality concept, leaving a lasting impression wherever you go.


  • You'll be an events all-rounder.  Gain insight into the entire events process, from idea to execution and beyond.

  • Internship allowance of €750 gross per month.

Job requirements


  • Bring good vibes, are friendly and always approachable - even over the phone.
  • Have a passion for organizing Events from A to Z.
  • Can keep a cool head and warm smile even during busy and stressful times.
  • Have a can do, entrepreneurial spirit that's all about discovering new ideas and solutions.
  • Have a very good eye for detail and love to multitask.
  • Love putting a personal touch on their service.
  • Want to be the king or queen of communication, always keeping it professional while maintaining Zoku's tone of voice.
  • Ideally, have some experience already in organising events.


  • You are a student who is looking to get valuable experience as an intern as part of your MBO+, HBO (college), Master degree, undergraduate degree or placement year ideally in the fields Hospitality or Leisure Management. 
  • You are fluent English; other languages are a plus.
  • You are an EU resident or have a valid working and living permit for the Netherlands.
  • You are available for min. 6 months and flexible for working days/hours.
  • You love to work, as we'll need you full-time.
  • You are available to start in August/ September 2024.
