Rooms Division Manager

Working for a "good company" company

Are you someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action, but also likes bringing structure behind the scenes? Do you get energy from leading teams, improving operations, and making sure guests have an amazing stay from arrival to departure? Then keep reading!

Zoku is not your typical hotel: we offer a relaxed place to stay, work, and meet new people, while helping guests feel connected to the local scene. Our fresh take on hospitality has been recognized around the world with plenty of press attention and design awards.

    TELL ME MORE

As our Rooms Division Manager, you are part of the Management Team and report directly to the General Manager. You are responsible for the daily hotel operations and for ensuring every guest experiences Zoku at its best from check-in to check-out.

You lead our Sidekick and Housekeeping teams and work closely together with Reservations and Maintenance. Together with the F&B Manager, you make sure all operational departments are aligned and working smoothly together. You play a key role in improving processes, implementing new procedures, supporting larger projects, and maintaining our brand standards.

You’ll work closely with our Duty Managers (shift leaders) and Sidekicks (receptionists, bartenders, and servers), who support the daily operation across departments. Sidekicks are not specialized in only Rooms, but work across all three departments

In this role, your success is reflected in smooth daily operations, strong guest review scores, high cleanliness and brand standards, and a motivated, well-performing team.

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?
No day looks the same as a Rooms Division Manager… but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

Lead and develop the team: You recruit, train, coach and manage our Duty Managers, Sidekicks and Housekeeping team. You organize regular check-ins, team meetings and goal setting, and continuously work on improving service standards, quality and team development.

Keep operations running smoothly: You are regularly present in the operation, support the team during busy moments and make sure every guest receives a true Zoku experience. Behind the scenes, you ensure that systems, administration, planning, SOPs, orders, payments and internal communication are all well organized and up to date.

Balance operations and structure: You divide your time between working on the floor and managing operational projects and administration. You keep an overview of the hotel operations and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, structure and collaboration between departments.

Always BETA: You identify opportunities to improve financial results, operational performance and guest review scores. You perform quality checks within the departments under your responsibility and work on improvements together with the General Manager.

Guardian of our values & standards: You represent Zoku’s brand and culture, keep the team informed and engaged, and help create a positive, energetic and supportive work environment where people enjoy coming to work.
