As our F&B Manager, you are part of the Management Team and report directly to the General Manager. You are responsible for the smooth running of our F&B and Meeting & Events operations and for delivering a true Zoku guest experience.
Together with the Rooms Manager and Head Chef, you make sure all departments are aligned, and operations run smoothly across the board.
You will lead our Sidekick and Meeting & Events teams, which definitely don’t operate like those in a typical hotel. Think less traditional restaurant and more Living Kitchen, Kindred Spirits Bar, corporate events, co-working lunches, and creative events. All combined in one dynamic environment.
Don’t worry, you won’t be doing this alone. Our Duty Managers (shift leaders) and Sidekicks (receptionists, bartenders, and servers) will support you every day. Sidekicks are not specialized in only F&B, but work across all three departments. You will improve operations and help take Zoku Amsterdam to the next level.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
No day looks the same as a F&B Manager… but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:
Operational coach & role model: You are very much hands-on and focus on optimizing our daily F&B / M&E operations. You guide, train and manage our Sidekick and M&E team, organize regular check-ins, team meetings and goal setting, and continuously work on improving service and quality standards & structure.
Smooth operator: You lead by example and are present on the floor. You jump in when needed, support the team and make sure every guest receives a true Zoku experience. You keep an overview of the operation and continuously look for ways to make things run smoother and more efficient.
Above & Beyond: You find creative ways & opportunities to increase our financial results, revenue streams and review scores. You introduce new initiatives and are responsible for (support on) menu changes, pricing,
trainings etc. You collaborate with our community manager in the organization of large events.
Keep your admin in check: Whether it's the schedules of your team, our online reservation system, PMS, POS or SOP's or online information: You stay on top of our systems, processes & communications.
Guardian of our values: You uphold Zoku’s brand and culture, make sure the team is informed, engaged and proud to work at Zoku, and help create a positive, energetic work environment.

Job requirements
WE LOVE PEOPLE WHO

Have proven experience in maintaining high guest service standards and team enagement.
A FEW MUST HAVES
You have a minimum of 2 years working experience leading operational teams in the Food and Beverage and/or M&E department.
You’ve worked with PMS and POS software.
You speak fluent English, especially Dutch and other languages are a plus!
You are an EU-resident or have a valid Dutch working permit.
You are fully flexible, as there won't be fixed working days/hours.
You're available full time.
